Career
After my studies and doctorate in theoretical nuclear structure physics at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main in 2002, I worked as a postdoc at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in New Mexico, USA, the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics and the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS). In 2009 I began my training as a patent attorney at the patent law firm Tergau & Pohl (now Tergau & Walkenhorst). I have been a patent assessor since 2012 and a licensed patent attorney since 2013. In September 2022 I founded Alpheratz IP.

Further experiences and interests
By founding my own start-up as part of the ESA Business Incubation at cesah, Darmstadt, I gained my own experience in starting a company. I am interested in software development, literature and music and play the electric guitar in a band.

The name Alpheratz IP
Alpheratz or Sirrah is the name of a star in the constellation Andromeda, which is approximately 100 light-years away from Earth. For me, in a professional sense, it symbolizes both fascination and vision. I always try to think outside the box and outside the box.
